Does the large-angle correlation deficit appear in E-mode polarization?
In plain words
The polarization of the microwave background is partly independent of its temperature pattern. If the missing large-angle correlation shows up there too, a fluke becomes much less likely.
Precise statement
Given the observed temperature map, compute the LCDM conditional distribution of the E-mode statistic S_1/2^EE and of the TE correlation at angles above 60 degrees; measure them on a full-sky E-mode map with cosmic-variance-limited noise at multipoles $\ell < 30$. Answer whether the observed values fall in the tails predicted by a physical suppression or follow LCDM.
What would settle it
Full-sky large-angle E-mode maps from LiteBIRD or a comparable space mission.
