Galactic cosmic-ray spectra and antimatter
Space detectors measure cosmic rays, fast charged particles from the Galaxy, with percent precision. The spectra show unexpected bends and more antimatter than simple models predict.
Why it matters
These features test how particles are accelerated and transported in the Galaxy and are among the few direct probes of dark matter in our neighborhood.
